We are pleased to introduce another interesting product for concrete construction, the alkali-resistant glass fiber MiniBars(R) from ReforceTech in Norway.
The fibers are being distributed throughout Germany and Europe through our company Construction Systems Marketing and are a useful addition to our product range.
The fibers with a length of 43 mm have been approved by the DIBt for use in non-statically loaded components, such as exterior concrete layers of sandwich elements, since September 2015. In March 2016, the approval for the static attachments followed.
The use of non-corrosive fibers enables the facing layer to be reduced to 35 – 40 mm when using grade C 30/37 concrete. Exterior layers of 15 mm using high-performance concrete are also possible.
The company Thermomass based in the USA has also developed a corresponding anchor for these small wall thicknesses, so that anchoring without thermal bridges is also possible.
