Healthcare/Medical Facilities

Designed to meet the needs of its patients, healthcare facilities put added importance on interior air quality, proper day-lighting strategies, and exterior aesthetics. All are virtues of Thermomass insulation systems.

Our continuous insulation systems are designed and fabricated to ensure the interior environment is both comfortable and quiet, going a long way in ensuring patient recovery.  Additionally, they are detailed to ensure no thermal bridges are present.

Gary Bett, AIA, director of specifications at Loebl Schlossman & Hackl in Chicago, the lead architectural firm on the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, commented, “On the Cook County Hospital project, we paid particular attention to maintain the continuity of the insulation between the Thermomass insulated panels and the protected membrane roof assembly.  One of the primary concepts was to push the insulation to the exterior of the envelope wherever possible”.

This attention to detail by the designer and Thermomass’ technical staff eliminates any concern that mold/mildew may grow around hot/cold spots, protecting the air quality of the indoor environment.
